1: EMBRACE NEGATIVE SPACE. Instead of adding more to your home, consider what you can subtract to elevate the aesthetic and create some breathing room.
2: GO UNIFORM. Invest in uniform storage bins and baskets to create a cohesive streamlined aesthetic that’s easy on the eyes.
3: LIMIT THE NUMBER of visible toys, games, and puzzles. Your little ones won’t get overstimulated and clean up will be a breeze at the end of a long day.
4: SET UP SIMPLE SYSTEMS so that the items that most frequently get piled in your home have a designated place to live. An open basket or tray will do the trick for mail and bills. A drawer or basket can corral hand sanitizer, gloves, and masks by the front door.
5: PRACTICE A 5-MINUTE TIDY BEFORE BED. Clear counters and surfaces, knock out the dishes and reset your space so you can start fresh feeling good the next day.
