The scariest thing I have ever done in my life is jump.
I started actively blogging in March 2009 (I played around a little before that but that was my official launch) and in September 2009 I got laid off from my full time job because they did away with my position company-wide. I was devastated. How were we going to make it? What would I do for money?
My husband then informed me that I had already made $11k from blogging that year. He said, “Isn’t this what you want to do? You are always telling me how much you love it.”
So after crying, raging, thinking my family and I would have to downsize, move, telling myself I wasn’t ready for this, etc, I picked myself up, dusted off my tiara and I freaking jumped. I might have had a little push but I definitely jumped as well.
I gave myself six months to make up that income and I started to hustle like I had never hustled before. I made that money in five months. I still hustle constantly and I also fail a lot. I think that is another key to success. Be okay with failure and love that hustle.
I wouldn’t change a thing. And if you are thinking of jumping… What are you waiting for? JUMP!
