The world seemed to conspire against me. First it was menopause. Then, it turned out that the man I thought I loved belonged to someone else. Adding insult to injury, the market crashed, killing my business and my bank account. It seemed that every aspect of my life was spiraling out of control.
I knew it was time to reinvent myself.
I put on my big-girl panties and got down to business. I let people know the mess I was in and then set about changing everything that seemed wrong, even if it had seemed right before. I needed to learn to open my heart, to be vulnerable and to look at what I really needed to make me happy and whole. Of course, as always, it’s a work in progress.
