Organizing Expert and Author @ShiraGill on building a capsule wardrobe: “My closet is made up primarily of neutral, well-made pieces that work year-round and will last for a long time. This approach gives me the chance to add a pop of color, print, or a trendier item from time to time, while still maintaining a core wardrobe that is timeless.”

How do you define a capsule wardrobe?

Capsule or  “mini wardrobes” are all the rage right now, but they are not for everyone. A capsule wardrobe is generally composed of around 30 versatile items, that I love to wear. I have experimented with creating my own and I have loved how easy it is to get dressed, but I will admit that I like more variety and get restless for change each season. This is why I like to follow The French 5-piece system. This system helps limit my purchases while still keeping me feeling fresh and current each season.

How has having a capsule wardrobe impacted your life?

Living with a streamlined closet has enabled me to spend less time and money shopping and encouraged me to make more conscious choices about what pieces I invest in. I’ve had to get creative mixing and matching pieces in a new way.

What are your favorite Reset everyday pieces and why?

I’m a sucker for stripes, so I’m loving my cozy Striped Funnel Neck Pullover for cool winter days, and also can’t get enough of the Lounge Jogger and Boyfriend Sweater set.
