I listened to the book “You are a Badass” by Jen Sincero on my way to work every day. It felt like Jen was speaking directly to me, Jen wrote “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”

Mid-way through the book my boss asked me a question at my not so complimentary six-month review as the Sales Director I had worked so hard to become.

“Does your personal philosophy align with the company’s?”

I sat with that question for a week and during our next conversation, I answered honestly, “no.”

I reset my career in order to create the mental space to see a different path to success than the one I was on.

I quit my job. I gave one month notice so I had some time to enjoy the last days of my “regular” schedule and my wonderful colleagues.

I started a blog.

I moved back to a city where my foundation exists, where I have friends that I can call anytime to have a glass of wine or talk about how difficult being an entrepreneur can be.

I reset AGAIN in the midst of my first reset, and am now I’m going back to work full time and pursuing a different dream on the side!
