“It drives me crazy that I’m staring at a closet packed to the extreme and yet I feel like I have nothing to wear.”
Describe your current relationship with your closet? (love it, hate it, we need to break up)
It drives me crazy that I’m staring at a closet packed to the extreme and yet I feel like I have nothing to wear.
What’s your pet peeve when it comes to dressing?
I have an aversion to anything with an animal print.
Describe the outfit that makes you feel like the most authentic version of yourself.
I love elevated athleisure, like a soft leather jacket, structured top, a good jean or stylish track-pant. For me, it’s all about the accessories. I need a roomy bag or backpack because I’m always on the go. Mind you, it must be an eye-catching, statement-making piece. My jewelry is always gold (matte, rose, or otherwise), sleek and fashion forward. I never wear silver.
When did you last push The Reset Button?
When I decided to start my own communications strategy consulting firm, Media Kitt. I have worked for over 15 years as a television producer for major networks in NYC from CNN to CBS. I wanted a lifestyle change, so I moved back to San Francisco (part-time) and as challenging as it has been, I welcome the freedom and responsibility of being my own boss.
What has been your most memorable project/interview?
Working as a network news producer for over 15 years, I have met some amazing people, from presidents to everyday heroes, and it can get pretty heavy at times. One of my best memories was getting to produce a Dave Chappelle interview with Anderson Cooper and having a one-on-one conversation with him for almost three hours that was meaningful, challenging and hilarious all wrapped into one.
Who is your dream client?
The next generation of disrupters who are looking to make our lives easier, healthier and more beautiful.
How do you make the bicoastal shuffle between New York and San Francisco work for your wardrobe?
My core style pretty much remains the same (see #4), however, East Coast style is made up of three things — black, black and more black! Obviously, because of the seasons, my outerwear game has to be both functional and fashionable.
What are the people, places and/or things that inspire you to be your best self?
My mom for her tenacity and wisdom, Cartagena and Berlin for inspiration and completing a great Barry’s Bootcamp and/or Pilates workout!
What’s your favorite R|Label piece and why?
How or where do you go to rejuvenate to recharge?
Quality time with my tribe: spa day, the beach, dinner at the hot new restaurant and an evening of live music.
Describe your personal style in three words:
Modern, functional, sophisticated.
If your life was a tv show, what would it be?
One Day At A Time.
If you were to write your own morning mirror what would it be? (Daily Affirmation)
